About Us
Welcome to Patrick Street Interiors!
For the past 30 years, Patrick Street Interiors, located in Frederick, Md., has been a haven for interior design enthusiasts. With a specialization in color and textiles, its visionary owner, Lydia Baker, and her talented team open a window to design for local clients and give them access to exclusive brands like Farrow & Ball, Backdrop, Thibaut and Kaleen Rugs. The interior design company is passionate about crafting spaces that stand as testaments to the intersection of creativity, comfort, and functionality, transforming residential and commercial interiors into living art.
For 6 years Patrick Street Interiors was actually located on Patrick Street. (Hence our name!) In 2017 we moved to South Carroll Street, and in 2022 we relocated to our current location on Thomas Johnson Drive. We love our showroom, and would love to invite you to visit us to take a look at some of the amazing products we sell.
No matter the project, big or small, we can help you create an exquisitely tailored space that you can truly call your happy place.
Our Team
Lydia Baker
Owner, Lead Designer
Lead designer and color consultant Lydia Baker founded Patrick Street Interiors in 1992. Prior to discovering her true calling in interior design, she worked as an electrical engineer. It was while working full time in that field that she discovered how much she enjoyed putting her decorative talents to use in her own home. Once she started a family, she decided to leave behind her career in electrical engineering to pursue her passion in interior design.
Today, after more than thirty years as an interior designer, Lydia has mastered the ability to understand her clients’ visions and work with them to create the spaces they’ve been dreaming about. Her expert listening skills allow her to hone in on individual preferences and needs to design rooms that complement each client’s unique personality and lifestyle.
Jodi Best
Design Assistant, Window Treatment Specialist
Jodi's background in the Interior Design field is just one of the many ways she incorporates color, pattern and art into all she does. While she was educated in Imaging and Digital arts (Graphic Design and Animation), Jodi found that her attraction to fabric, and texture made her a perfect fit for the Interior Design world. She worked as a designer for the Expo Design Center for many years - specializing in Window Treatment Design, as well as Kitchen and Bath Design, before taking time off to raise her kids.
While working as a stay-at-home mom, Jodi found she could not stop designing and creating- picking up many hobbies including quilting, crochet, drawing, painting and photography.
Jodi joined the Patrick Street Interiors team in 2017 and has been focusing on the Window and Soft treatment aspects of PSI's clients.
Tracy Glass
Design Assistant, Client Development
Originally from Montclair, NJ, Tracy has lived in many places before settling in Bethesda, MD with her husband and 4 children in 1993.
While most of her career was spent as a sales rep for medical instrumentation, she's always had an interest in interior design.
After being widowed, she retired to become a full time nanny to two of her 12 grandchildren.
When the opportunity arose for her to become an employee at Patrick Street Interiors, she was thrilled to join Lydia’s team. It has been, for her, “a match made in Heaven”.
Tracy loves working with the team on design projects, but it's helping the clients and customers that really bring her joy.
